Braindog was founded by Mike Hermans (° Antwerp 1971), pseudonym Maaik, a "creative braindog": Since 1993 active as an architect, designer, cartoonist, illustrator, graphic designer, 2D animator, storyboard artist, character designer, concept artist, copywriter, screenwriter, director, creative consultant, artist ... Because of his experience in all these areas, in combination with his cross-media thinking that leads to unique concepts & projects, he is your ideal creative project leader.

Our approach

Introduction

The first meeting is always without obligation and free of charge. We think it is important to get to know us personally first, to listen to your wishes, to assess whether we can help you, to give you the opportunity to get to know us and to feel whether there is a "click" between you and us . Based on this conversation, we will draw up a definition of the assignment and provide you with a detailed price quotation.

Definition

Based on the first meeting, we will define the assignment, define the vision of our approach, determine the timing together with you and provide you with a detailed price quotation. We can then discuss this together, by telephone, video call or at our office.

Brainstorming session

After approval of the quotation, we invite you again to our office for a creative brainstorming session. This will lead to a better definition and elaboration of the assignment.

Concept & design

After the brainstorming session, we will get to work to prepare an initial concept design. We will present this to you at our office or by video call.

Elaboration

After you have made your choice from one or more drafts, we will proceed to the final implementation in the requested media.

Communication

We personally monitor the project from start to finish in function of the agreed timing and keep you informed of the progress at every stage. Through a direct line of communication with the project manager, you are always up to date at every stage of the project. When the project is fully completed, we will proceed to an evaluation together.
